The Practice – Dark Cave Press

The Practice

Dark Cave Press is the name of a practice.

What emerges from the cave? Books, prints, bound things, visual art, poems, plays, strange objects made of paper and thread and language. Some dark, some moody. It’s made by hand because hands are what we have. It’s made in small numbers because that’s what devotion allows.

The work appears when it’s ready. It finds its way into the world through galleries, through the post, to people that want to hold it.

Paper, thread, ink, blade. Cutting, folding, binding, writing.

This is devotional making.

Making is why.
